My Grandpa

My cousin sent me this picture today. This is my grandpa, Edward Howell. To be honest looking at this makes me very emotional (crying as we speek). He passed away when I was young from a heart attack so I have very few memories of him. I wanted to post a blog about him because he makes me want to be a better person. I know he is up there in heaven cheering me on and just waiting for me to be with him in the Celestial Kingdom. I cant wait to get to know him and form a better relationship with him. He was a good man. I hope that my children turn out half as good as he was. He really had a great love for the church and his family. I really do miss him.

My prayer came true!

The past couple day have been really hard for me. The other night I had a really high fever and passed out from the heat. That was really scary for Joe and my family. I woke up the next morning and was fine but really weak from the night before. I had to work last night (close) and It just wasn't fun closing when we couldn't find a big chunk of the money to count. We stayed late and then the company was going to a movie that started at 10:30 so we had to go. When I got there my boss said congrats! I said for what? she said for getting Assistant Manager! I was very excited because they interviewed a bunch of people for that position and I couldn't believe I had gotten it! I had prayed about a week ago about it and I just had this feeling like this is your month..So in a way I new I was going to get it. Maybe this will be our month finally get that bun in the oven! I put some pics of my favorite clothing we sell!

New toy for max

Max has found his favorite toy, a jellybean! Don't mind the mess in the back..I blame that on Joe for not cleaning up after dinner!

What we have been up to..

Joe has been motivated to lose 25 pounds so he can join the Air Force so he has been going to our gym everynight. He has lost around 5 or 6 pounds so far. I want to lose 40 to 45 pounds so I started working out tonight. We are going to be flying to Washington in the end of June and I am dedicated to lose the weight for my friend Brooke's Wedding and also for a couple family reunions.

I have been working at Down East Basics almost everyday but Sunday. I really like working there. All the girls are really nice and fun to be around. This week I am applying for Assistant Manager so hopefully I get it!

I had to take this picture of Max waking up. He always has one ear down when he is tired or just waking up. Very funny!

Our Valentines night

Joe and I went to the Mayan Adventure for our valentines dinner. It was so fun! We both felt like we were in disneyland waiting to get on a ride. The best thing about it is the prices are great! They had this huge waterfall where men and women were diving off into the water. we felt like we were in a jungle! We excited to go again!

I wanted to post some pics of the mayan but my computer wont let me. Look at the website to see how cool it is!!!

A new life for us?

Well Joe and I have been talking about how to become more stable and happy. We both decided that Joe joining the Air Force would be something we would think about. We called Joes older brother Karl to see what he thinks about our new idea (he is in the Marines so he would give us good advise). So he told us its a great life and to go talk to different people so we went and talked to a Army recruit and also an Air Force recruit. After talking to the Air Force we had a good feeling about it. Joe is excited to start a new life in the Air Force. I am also excited because many of you already know that I really want to start a family and now we can afford to do so! Joe just has to lose a little weight and then he will sign up! We both feel very good about this decision and are very excited to get started on our new little adventure!
