28 weeks (7 months)

So I am 28 weeks now. Time has been going by fast so that is a good thing but I really do feel like I am going to pop. My back is killing me, my legs are always cramping, and I keep having those painful braxton hicks contractions. For some reason this one is way harder on me than my first! Is that how it is for everyone? I try to walk as much as I can but my body slowly shuts down after 15 minutes of walking. I am ready for him to be out so I start working on losing weight and feeling better. I feel like I have been pregnant for two years! We are going to have a good (3-4 yr) gap between this one and our next! only 12 weeks or 84 days or 30% left!

Brady's 2nd Easter!

Yesterday (Saturday) Brady and I had a very busy day! First, we went to my cousin Amy's baby shower. It was really nice to see and visit with my cousins. After the baby shower we headed off to Grandma Johnson's house for an Easter egg hunt with his cousins. Brady had fun, he was a little cranky and tired but I still think he enjoyed playing with William, Molly, Henry, Adelaide, and Wesley. Grandma Johnson made a ton of eggs for the kids to find! Brady dumped most of his candy into the dog toy box so we had to throw most of it away. Its ok though, he tends to behave better without a bunch of sugar in his system.

This morning wasn't a good start for me. I was in so much pain from chasing Brady around yesterday that I couldn't stand up. I had to call my dad in bed to have him get poor crying Brady out of his bed. Once I took a couple extra strength Tylenol I was able to get Brady on camera opening his Easter basket and to help him find eggs. This year was his first year of actually being able to walk around and find eggs. I wish Joe could have been here! Joe has yet to see Brady on Easter. Last year Joe was at school in Pensacola. Maybe next year Joe can help him find eggs! Here is Brady eating his cute mini pancake breakfast that Grandma made him.

And of course my mom has to go all out for every single holiday. Here is my sisters, Joe's, and my Easter baskets. Yes my mom still gets me an Easter basket. And no 23 isn't too old for Easter baskets and valentine gifts haha.

I thought it would be fun to post a picture of Brady one year ago. He was so cute at his first Easter. Time really does fly by!

Some good news..

Joe had a big "test" today for the NAVY and he passed it! He was really happy! Those things aren't easy to pass!

Some better news is that Joe doesn't have to go on the 6 week boat ride after all. His Sr. Chief told him because our baby is due kinda soon that he will get to stay home until the baby is born. This means that he will most likely go on a ship soon after the baby is born but that's ok! I just really want him to be there for the birth.

I also wanted to share some cute pictures I took today! Isn't he the cutest? He loves to show off his big two teeth! Brady is at a very silly age. He is always trying to make mommy and daddy laugh. We love him.

I will call this one pregnancy brain!

Question, what is so wrong with buying a bunch clothes for Joe, Brady, Baby, and I? It's not like we even want that money or has any bills to pay! Oh wait. We do! That was dumb of me! Kohl's put a spell on me and made me buy the whole store. Joe asked me if I wanted to take back half of the stuff I bought or get these:
A bed for Brady
and a double stroller.

I guess we need these more than cute maternity clothes. Joe, I guess you win this time! :(

boat ride for joe

Joe just informed me that he will be leaving on a 6 week boat ride in April (in two weeks). I'm not too happy about this! At least its not for 9 months! I really wish Joe didn't have to leave on ships. I guess that's what you get when you sign up for the navy! Maybe in a couple years we will get stationed shore duty in Hawaii!

Summer Travels

I am SUPER excited for this summer! Here is why:

June: having a baby!
(Joe gets 10 free vacation days, yay!)

August:
Going to Utah for a family reunion (I am really hoping I will be feeling ok by then! Having a 4 week old on a trip might be hard)

Then we are going to Idaho to visit my family for a couple days!
Two friend weddings are also in August.

September:
One of my best friends is getting married so I am the maid of honor! I hope I can lose all the baby weight in 3 months! here is the bride to be!

I am trying to have Joe take some vacation time before the baby is born because once the baby gets here I will be glued to the little guy for months. Joe is worried that they wont approve him for 3 different vacations. He has 20 days saved up so far, I wish they would just let him use them whenever he wants to! The NAVY is always difficult.

Grandma

Brady loves his family so much. Daddy and I are cool but not as cool as "Gammum". I hope someday we will like me as much as he likes her! I am just not willing to stuff his face with candy and Ice cream!
