One month!!

My baby boy is one month today! Time goes by fast when you are sleep deprived! Connor has been the perfect addition to our family. He loves to he held and cuddled all day long. He still sleeps all day and is awake all night, I try my best to keep him awake during the day but it's impossible! Oh well, I guess this is just a not so fun part of being a mother! Happy one month Connor!

Blog to Book

This blog is my journal. Every year I use this website blurb.com to make my blog into a book. It's really neat to be able to look through the book and show friends and family. I am really excited to show my kids these books when they are old enough to read. I just finished making my June 2009-June 2010 book and my sis-in-law Casey told me about this coupon code BLOG2010 (good til the end of August) to save $39.95 off the total purchase price. My total was going to be $53 but I only paid $13!!! Awesome! Thanks Casey!

Connor's new quilt and booties!

Great-Grandma Leora Johnson made a beautiful quilt and booties for Connor. I feel so grateful that she took time and effort to make them for him. I know they aren't easy for her to make anymore! She really knows how to make family feel loved. I need to remember to print out one of these pictures and send them in a thank you card tomorrow!

Axel Edward Johnson

When Joe and I have the joy of picking out names for our children we like to find some fun names that are meaningful and in the family. We named Brady Dell after my dad, Dell Marty Howell. When we were trying to find a name for Connor we wanted to use a middle name that was meaningful in Joe's family. I was looking in my sis-in-laws baby book one day and I saw the name Axel Edward Johnson. Right away I knew that that was the middle name for Connor. Axel Edward Johnson is Joe's dad's Grandpa. I got an e-mail from my Mom-in-law today and she sent me these pictures. I thought it would be neat for Connor to look back on and see who he was named after. I really wish I had a picture of him!
Of course when Joe's grandma Leora Johnson found out that we named little Connor after her Father-in-law she was really excited. We get to see Leora in a couple weeks and I am really excited to have her meet her newest great-grand baby. I will have to take lots of pictures!

finally feels like summer!

Brady has had a blast in the sun this weekend. He loves to play in the water in our back yard!

I don't think Connor liked the heat much.
Yesterday we went down the street to enjoy the ocean and let Brady play in the kiddy pool at the park. He had a fun time! We had to leave early because it was windy and I'm not a breastfeeding pro yet...haha

Operation Skinny Mom!

So I started a diet about two weeks before I got pregnant and my goal was to lose 50 pounds. Now that I am no longer pregnant I need to get motivated again and lose a bunch of weight. I have lost 30 pounds in the last two weeks (don't ask me how) and I am 10 pounds smaller than what I was before I got pregnant (yes!). So now I really want to lost 40 pounds because I have a family reunion next month (I'm sick of being the fatty sister/daughter-in-law/aunt), One of my best friends is getting married September 17Th and I have to fit in my maid of honor dress.
Diet officially starts NOW!

I just wish I could work out! 4 more weeks!

So I know that I only have two kids and most of you that look at my blog have double that but I can't believe how hard it is! I don't know how people do it with more! Joe went back to work today, the house is a mess, and I don't think I slept at all last night. Hopefully things get easier once I get used to having the kids to myself everyday. So far Brady has been good on moms first day of having him to myself and that I am thankful for! Now it is time for me to lay down because the boys are both sleeping..:)
