Today I found out some good news. Joe was chosen to be a RTC leader during his time at basic training. I hear that is a good thing! He also told me that the Seattle Mariners are sponsering Joe so he won't have to pay for his uniform. That will save us $600.00 total so that was exciting for us. I am hoping Joe will call me tomorrow (sunday) because I haven't talked to him in two weeks. He will be sending me a package of paperwork so I can get my health coverage set up. Right now I have bad coverage and it's costing me a fortune! So once I get that set up it will all be free. Our baby boy's birth wont cost anything for us.
That is another thing that has been on my mind, Joe will be getting a 2 week vacation during christmas so hopefully he will see his son be born. He thinks his school will only be 6-8 weeks so he should be done around christmas anyways. His graduation should be at the end of October. I hope I won't be too big to fly! I know mom (Darlene) is planing to fly and see him. Two days after he graduates he is to report to Flordia for school. He will be very very busy these next four months.
Also Joe gave me a new address so if you would like to write him here is the new one:

Baby Shower #2

My husband has left me :(
Today is a really hard day for me. This morning was the first morning I woke up by myself. Joe had to stay the night at a hotel by the airport lastnight. This morning at 4:00 am he reported to duty. It is really hard being pregnant and having your husband leave you and come back after the baby is born. I hope he will be able to make it to the birth of our son but I'm not going to count on it. He gets a two week Christmas vacation so hopefully our little guy decides to come when his daddy is here. I just can't even think about having a baby with out Joe there to support me and to see his baby come into this world. I am planning on suprising him at the end of October for his graduation. Then he will be leaving to Flordia for school right after. Hopefully I can make it to FL. and visit him for a couple days. I just can't believe he is already gone. These next four months are going to be really hard for me. I am just glad I have family and friends to keep me company.
On August 19th we went to Ocean Shores for our two year anniversary. We stayed in a very nice hotel and had a blast. It was raining but we still got to hang out on the beach and look out at the beautiful ocean. It was really nice to just be alone with him. Our hotel room was right by the beach and had an ocean front view. It was really special to wake up together and see the ocean right there. Maybe we will go back next year for our 3 year.

OFF TO BASIC TRAINING FOR JOE!
Joe just got a call this morning that he will be leaving for basic training the 21st of August! In just a couple weeks! We are so excited because he wont miss the birth of the baby! Basic training only lasts two months. We are very excited! Joe is shocked that it is all happening so soon. I am excited to start getting the perks of being in the Navy. The pay and insurance are incredible! I will miss Joe for the two months he is away but I will be ok because I have family. Wish him luck next time you talk to him!
