deception pass

My parents came up to stay with us for a couple days because my dad had to do some work close to Whidbey Island. We went to deception pass with the Stuarts. We had a good time except when you have two pregnant women and a huge hike it usually makes the hike last about 15 minutes! Oh well, It was nice to see the ocean!

Grrrr...

Last night I was up all night with painful contractions. I refused to go to the hospital because I do not want to be there for 6 hours just to be sent home all drugged up and tired. They finally faded away around 5 am (I think). Today I am really weak and sore. My Doctor called me and told me that I failed the one hour glucose test and I have to go in and do a 3 hour one, so that's not fun and kinda scary. Hopefully tomorrow is a better day!

Gymnastics and Tulips

Yesterday Joe and I drove to Kenmore (about an hour and a half away from our home) to meet up with Joe's sister Sandy and her daughter Rebekah. Rebekah qualified to compete in State gymnastics! She is so talented! I loved watching her! She made 6Th place! We were so proud! It was nice to see Sandy, she lives in Spokane so we never get to see her. Joe and I really want to go visit her on our next 3 day weekend. Mom Johnson, Ben, Casey, and their kids came up to support Rebekah. It was a fun family outing!
Here is a picture of Rebekah, It was shot from far away so its blurry. She is on the green and black team. She is in the middle of two girls.

Later that day Joe's mom wanted to drive to La Conner to see the Tulip Festival. Its on our way home so we were happy to go with her and see the beautiful flowers! Joe was so nice to surprise me with a bundle of pink tulips to take home. I think they might be my favorite kind of flower! So many types and colors, I was in tulip heaven!

It was raining the entire time we were there. You will see pictures of us all bundled up.

I know I look horrible with the jacket wrapped around my head. I straightened my hair that morning and I wasn't going to let an hour of hard work go to waste!

This was the only picture I could get Brady with the tulips, I tried.

takes after mom

Most of you know that soccer was my life growing up. I played from ages 5-19. When I got pregnant with Brady one of the first things I thought of was I'm going to put him in soccer when he is two! I don't know when we will put him in soccer (Joe isn't a fan of boys playing soccer) but I have been trying to teach him early. I have plans for him to play pro for the USA team, so I think it's a perfect time to start teaching him. : ) Here is the future soccer stud playing in the backyard!

Here is a look into the past. this picture makes me really want to play soccer again. I am the tall one third from the right. Maybe after I have this little one I can get into shape and join a team.
I love soccer.

surprise ultrasound

Today was kinda a stressful day for me. I had to wake up early and take the one hour glucose test. First of all, that drink was nasty. When I was pregnant with Brady I drank an orange drink and it wasn't so bad but this liquid was clear and I almost vomited! Anyways, So we went and did that. Brady was crazy tired and Joe wasn't happy because he had take care of him. Soon after the blood work we went to my OB Dr. appt. This is when my day got better, My Doctor told me that I don't have to get the RhoGam shot in my bum for two more weeks! (I really really hate shots) Then My Dr. asked me if I would like to hear the heartbeat or actually see the heartbeat. Joe and I of course chose to see the little guy. He is looking really good and healthy. He seems so big to me! I am thinking he might be bigger than Brady was. Most of the pictures are really blurry because it was done on one of the small office ultrasound machines. Here is his leg and foot. I thought it was cute!

Brady's First Potty

Today I was in Wal-mart and I was just looking in the baby section and I saw this little potty and thought what the heck, he might use it! I brought it home, sat him on it, then turned on the water to see if that will make him want to pee. After about a minute of sitting there he got excited and jumped up! I looked and saw a puddle at the bottom of the potty. I am so proud of my little tinkler!

Sorry if that is discusting! I was so proud of him, I had to take a picture of his pee! haha

big boy room

I finally got Brady's new big boy room put together. He loves all the animals and the bright colors. Last night was his first night sleeping in a toddler bed. He did well until Joe found him under the bed with his head hitting the wall at 5 am. We went and got a side rail so hopefully tonight will be better!

Here is the babies room. Just Brady's old room put down the hall. All of the baby stuff looks new so I don't mind using it for our next one!

28 weeks (7 months)

So I am 28 weeks now. Time has been going by fast so that is a good thing but I really do feel like I am going to pop. My back is killing me, my legs are always cramping, and I keep having those painful braxton hicks contractions. For some reason this one is way harder on me than my first! Is that how it is for everyone? I try to walk as much as I can but my body slowly shuts down after 15 minutes of walking. I am ready for him to be out so I start working on losing weight and feeling better. I feel like I have been pregnant for two years! We are going to have a good (3-4 yr) gap between this one and our next! only 12 weeks or 84 days or 30% left!
